Tend Artist Residency
A residency within the walls of the Walkaway House for artists looking to tend to their unique creative practice in a domestic setting. Residencies are self-directed over 2 or 4 weeks and have absolutely no required output (the time is yours!) We host 2 artists at a time in our renovated first floor live/work spaces. Spots are filled from an annual open call and handful of fellowships are available each year. Read more here!
Center of Gravity Residency
A downtown residency experience right around the corner from Walkaway House. Great for artists looking to engage with the local community and visiting public in North Adams. One artist at a time is invited to activate our Eagle Street storefront gallery/studio space over a 2-4 week self-directed residency. Residents live in a private condo above, which can also accommodate a partner or family member. The Gravity artist is asked to open the storefront to the public for a show/event during FIRST Fridays.
